Fan/cooliing
 

Q: Mighty Box is on, but the fan does not work!

A: The fan beginns to work until the temerature inside exceeds 50°C. It cools down the drive to a termperature around 30°C. This guarantees low electric power consumption and low noise operating.


iTunes-connection
 

Q: The function "Activate iTunes" is allready activated. What should I do that iTunes will find my files?

A: After this function is activated the MIGHTY BOX creates a folder called "music" within the directory "public". All files stored in this folder will automatically shown in iTunes in the network. Please ensure that all file-types will be supported by iTunes.


Twonky Media-Server
 

Q: I installed Twonky Media Server but I can not connect to the configuration site!

A: After installing Twonky Media you have to reboot the MIGHTY BOX. After that you can configurate the Media Server via the configuration site. Please ensure that you enter the adress with "http://".

     
   

Q: My settings will be lost after reboot of the MIGHTY BOX. What is the reason for that?

A: On several old CDs shiped with the MIGHTY BOX a software was delivered which has a bug. A updated version is available as download. Please install this version if you have this problem.


Firmware Update
 

Q: The firmware file is packed. Do I have to unpack this file before installing?

A: No! The file has a double file extension "*.tar.gz". The file has to be installed as it is. The MIGHTY BOX will unpack this file.


Rebuild LED
 

Q: The rebuild LED is glowing red. Is there a problem?

A: No, the continouse glowing of this LED means, that the MIGHTY BOX RAID Level 5 is configured correct and a rebuild is possible if needed. If one of the HDDs will crash, the red LED on the concerned tray and a alarm LED will glow. Until you swap the defective HDD the rebuild will start automaticaly. This will be show by a blinking rebuild LED.
